Stickers, poster and booklet design for a new school initiative.
“Backpack for Life” represents the core ethos of The Croft Preparatory School and the values they aim to instil in pupils. This work was going to be featured around the school so these values needed to be at the heart of our graphic design solution.
Across a poster and booklet cover design, a simple, asymmetric grid makes a vivid watercolour illustration from a teacher illustration the hero. While a bold headline is set vertically over a digital version of and the headteacher’s handwriting.
The combination of handwriting and watercolour lend a human element to the piece.
In addition to the poster, The Croft needed a 36-page booklet design for each student to record their “journey” through their years spent at school. This was designed with rounded corners to reduce damage / dog ears on the pages as they are taken in and out of bags day-to-day.
Finally, there were sticker sheets featuring the icons which represent the five aspects of “Backpack For Life”. These would be stuck into a students book along side teacher comments to mark achievements / progress.
