Local business guide design and print for Wychavon District Council and Evesham Place Board
Evesham is on a journey of reinvigoration. As the town moves forward it needs to bring local businesses with it to strengthen the image of a historic market town.
There is a range of businesses in the town centre: from UK high street staples to local independents. This piece of design and print gives Evesham Place Board and its partners a tool to educate and excite these businesses.
To create excitement and engagement our work needed to elevate the guide above expectations. We leaned into a more “Cotswolds” aesthetic with pale, cream stone shades contrasted against deep blue from Evesham Place Board’s new brand identity.
As well as colour, special consideration was given to materials that maximised impact on first handover. A glossy front cover deepens the tones of the cover photographs, and communicates quality. It feels more like a premium magazine rather than a local business guide.
This is a thread that we followed throughout the internal spreads. Bold double page layouts, punchy colours, and strong photography hold interest while the copy communicates more technical information.
All journeys are a series of small steps. The design and print of this guide gives Evesham Place Board and its partners the firm footing they need to start.
